Eleven Glad Tidings For Humanity

The Seventh Phrase

وَيُمِيتُ

In other words, He is the One Who causes death. That is, He releases you from your duty in life, transfers you from this transient world to the everlasting world, and frees you from the burdens of service. This means that He takes you from the perishable life to the eternal life. This phrase calls out loudly to mortal humans and jinn and says:

“Glad tidings to you! Death is not execution, not an end, not a random act, and not destruction. It does not lead to extinction, eternal separation, or non-existence. Rather, it is a release from service and a change of abode, carried out by Hakīm-i Rahīm. It is a transfer to eternal bliss, to your true homeland. It is a door to ālam-i barzakh, a gathering place for ninety-nine percent of all your friends.”

The Eighth Phrase

وَ هُوَ حَىٌّ لَا يَمُوتُ

The beauty, perfection, and goodness of Mabūd-i Lam Yazal, Mahbūb-i La Yazāl, are infinitely superior to all the perfections, beauties, and goodnesses of the whole of creation that give rise to love. A single flash of His beauty is sufficient to surpass all other beloveds. Moreover, He possesses an eternal life that is far removed from annihilation and transience, and from faults and defects.

This phrase proclaims the following to humans, jinn, all conscious beings, and everyone who loves Allah:

“Glad tidings to you! You have a Mahbūb-i Bāqī Who heals the wounds caused by the infinitely many separations from those you love. Since He exists and is eternal, you need not worry about what happens to anything else. For the beauty and goodness, the noble excellence and perfection found in beloved things, which are the reasons for your love of them, are only a pale shadow of a manifestation of the eternal beauty of Mahbūb-i Bāqī. Let their passing not distress you, for they are merely a kind of mirror. The replacement of mirrors renews and beautifies the manifestations of His beauty. Since He exists, everything exists.”

The Ninth Phrase

بِيَدِهِ الْخَيْرُ

In other words, all blessings are in His hand. Every good deed and righteous act you perform is recorded by Him and registered with Him. This phrase proclaims the following glad tiding to humans and jinn:
