The Sixth Word

The second loss: you will be punished for betraying what was entrusted to you, because you wronged yourself by using the most valuable instruments for the most worthless matters.

The third loss: you have slandered and violated the wisdom of Allah by lowering all your valuable human faculties to a level even lower than that of an animal.

The fourth loss: alongside your powerlessness and neediness, you will carry the heavy burden of life on your weak shoulders and will constantly lament beneath the blows of transience and separation.

The fifth loss: you will transform the beautiful gifts of the Most Merciful—such as the intellect, heart, eye, and tongue, which were granted to you in order to obtain the necessities of eternal life and happiness in the hereafter—into ruinous instruments that open the gates of Hell for you.

We shall now consider the act of selling. Is selling, then, so difficult that so many turn away from it? No, absolutely not! It is in no way difficult. For the scope of what is halālThat which is permitted in Islam. is sufficient for the enjoyment of the human being. There is no need to fall into sins. The divine commands are light and few in number. The honour of being a servant and soldier of Allah is so delightful that it cannot be described. The task of the human being is simply to begin and act in the name of Allah like a soldier, to give and receive for His sake, and to live within His appointed limits and law. Thus, he finds peace. If he makes a mistake, he should seek forgiveness.

“O Lord, forgive our faults. Accept us as Your servants. Keep us faithful in what You have entrusted to us until the moment You take it back from us. ĀmīnAn expression meaning “O Allah, answer [this prayer],” said at the end of a supplication to ask Allah to accept and fulfill it.!”
